| The daughter of former Chicago Bulls star (and current Bulls commentator for Fox Sports Net Chicago), Heidi Van Lier's film Chi Girl (she both directed and stars in the effort) recently won the prize for best feature at the 1999 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah (a festival which Chicago Magazine calls "the edgier spinoff of its neighbor Sundance"). About a documentary filmmaker who follows a sexually confused city journalist, the movie was filmed in many local Chicago bars and restaurants, where Heidi was able to drop her fathers name... She recently signed with the William Morris Agency to develop future films.
