| Best known as Steven Spielberg's recent cinematographer extraordinaire, Kaminski is still Columbia College's favorite trump. After winning an Oscar for his black & white photography for Spielberg's holocaust epic, Schindler's List (1993), Kaminski has been Hollywood's below-the-line flavor of the month. He recently won an Academy Award for his cinematography in Saving Private Ryan. Other cinematography credits include: Amistad (1997),The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jerry Maguire(1996) and let's not forget the Cool As Ice Documentary/ Promotional Video for 80's rapper, Vanilla Ice. ("Ice, Ice. . . Baby"). Kaminski took undergraduate film courses between 1981 and 198, after emigrating from Poland -- but he never earned a degree. Columbia awarded him an achievement award in 1994.
