| This Director/Actor who grew up in Milwaukee, WI has been on the directorial team of dozens of feature films, including Jerry Maguire (1996), Singles (1992), Say Anything (1989), and Apocalypse Now (1979). He went to the High School Institute at Northwestern University, and studied under acting coach Alvina Krause (whose other students included Charlton Heston, Jennifer Jones, Richard Benjamin, and Karen Black), and then moved to Hollywood, where he got a masters degree at UCLA. Mr. Ziesmer graduated from the Assistant Director training program at the Directors Guild and the Motion Picture Producers Association in 1969.
