| Born in Glencoe, IL, this character actress made her first cinematic appearances in the commercial 80's flicks: Mystic Pizza (1988) and . . . Say Anything (1989). However, Lili Taylor has since become an indie film icon through her roles in Robert Altman's Short Cuts (1994), I Shot Andy Warhol (1996), and Dogfight (1991) in which she portrays River Phoenix's ugly duckling date. Taylor also appearances alongside Steppenwolf Founder, Gary Sinise, as his villainous sidekick in Ron Howard's thriller Ransom (1996).
