The Screenwriters Group, based in Chicago and Los Angeles, is one of the largest independent screenwriting centers in the country. We have an award-winning program offering a unique opportunity for aspiring screenwriters.
Dan Decker founded the Screenwriters Group in 1993. He is an American Film Institute Award Winner and is author of "Anatomy of Screenplay."
We focus specifically on developing screenwriters and their Hollywood viable screenplays. Our typical program brings people from proper formulation of a storyline to a completed written, (critiqued, and rewritten) feature-length screenplay. We are attached to a writers management company that can sell the scripts that are ready for the market. The Screenwriters Group is nationally recognized and has been endorsed by companies (ABC/Disney), universities (Columbia College), and state film departments (Illinois Film Commission).
